Domain Name Server (DNS) is an essential component of a network infrastructure. In this type of servers, various record types such as A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, PTR, and SRV are kept for different purposes, including converting domain names to addresses. Record requests’ response time, DNS server availability, and checking existence and correctness of a specific record are among the main parameters for the server performance evaluation. In the Moein monitoring system, users can monitor DNS servers in the category of network and security tools. For each defined server, it is possible to monitor all types of records and test their existence and request response time. Furthermore, average record response time and DNS server availability are also evaluated and presented.
